We never intended it but ceramic fruit has become a thing for us, we seem to attract them. Maybe it's the connection with our allotment?
1970's Portuguese Majolica fruit tower. So very much work in it amazing they made it out of the kilns to be honest without exploding. The fruits are: lemons, oranges, apples, bananas and satsumas all hand-painted. No chips or fleabites. This is a fine example.
My Grandma had one of these but rather bizarrely I think hers had tomatoes in! Very now according to the Sunday Times Style mag and Anya Hindmarch - who knew! Real (rather wizened) apple for scale. Proof we don't eat enough fruit. Note to selves.
