These are lovely, three nesting Meakin platters with a delicate floral transfer pattern and a sunshine yellow hand~painted banding. So unusual to find the three together; I do think they need to find a new home as a trio ideally. We also have a tureen and plates which we will be selling separately.
The Meakin sol 391413 pattern number covers a multitude of different patterns, and was in use from 1912 to the mid 1950s. The platters are art deco in shape and style. This pattern isn't named and I can't find another one but they did a huge variety of them.
Very useful for the way we live today for meze platters, or serving Sunday lunch. Also a great use of space if it is at a premium, as they happily nestle together very nicely. Great vintage condition. A little crackle to the glaze on the largest - never bothers me.
