This has no date but is stamped R Moss Ltd 1025. It has such a 1960s or 1970s vibe for me. Beautiful terracotta owl with lovely feathered treacle like glaze. Big slot in the top of his wise head.
In perfect condition. The child that owned this was either an extreme saver or had no cash at all; as it has made it through the last half century very well indeed.
He seems to know he is a rare survivor of children attacking their money boxes with knives to prise out the loot. Great giftage (not a word - but I like it) potential. We do love an owl at Mulona.
